Prior to taking it apart were you seeing PS fluid on the ground or did you have to refill the fluid at frequent intervals? Any fluid blown back on the suspension?

No previous signs of fluid leaking on floor. Only realize this when I released the clamp from the boot. So that amount of fluid has slowly leaked and was in the boot.

I figured the rack was begin to go out, I think since the leak perhaps just started I may have at least 10k more miles before it get really get worst to show fluid on the floor.

I plan on getting a rebuilt rack from ZF, don't want to put a used rack and not know its condition. Too much work for that.

I wished they sold a rebuilt kit for the rack
