Anhelenuk is on a distinguished road
I got the same fault related to this item along with airbag light. I'd change it but to do so looking at diy seems to be beyond my skill set.

That's because there are a lot of controls on the steering wheel these days.

Thats very easy you just have to remove the steering wheel and more 4 screws, i changed myself

It doesn't bother me enough to take it in. I'm waiting for tax refund season to get wheel bearings and whatever else needs to be addressed done in one shot.

I had this error out of the blue. Wiggled stuff around, especially the steering angle sensor, and the error cleared. Before I wiggles the steering sensor, it wouldn't clear.
How do I now clear it from the shadow memory in bmwscanner?
At least the dash sign is gone!...
