Last one I swear... (fingers crossed)

Picked up a clean, low mileage E38

2001 740IL Schwartz 2/Sandbeige w/Security glazing and original Style 70's w/runflats. But looks much better with MPars imo

6 Speed conversion?

Agreed. I'd buy one were I to find one in good enough condition at the right time. Actually the e38 is the only 7 I'd ever own...

Very nice example you scored.

Yes and you can put tons of miles on those vehicles with very little worry. A BMW independent repair shop in Fort worth uses a couple of these vehicles as their customer loaner cars. All of them have over 190K and are tight as a drum. The key always is the maintenance.

If you are trying to get away from owning BMWs, "Last one I swear... (fingers crossed)", avoid the E38s & E39s (in excellent condition especially).

These are some of the best BMW sedans ever produced.

This is like someone who enjoys scotch saying this glass of 35yr old Glenmorangie single malt (1981) will be my last drink.

Buy late model BMWs to quit the brand.
