Headlights,Daytime running lights???

Well I'm back again in search of answers to age old questions like... How do I tell which headlights I have and do I have daytime running lights and don't know it??? I have a 2006 X5 I bought used and I've never noticed the daytime running lights but I have to replace my passenger side low beam and figured I'd ask someone that would know. There's not much room to get the back cover off to replace the bulb so I figured if I have to drop the front bumper since I'm replacing both sides I'd see if I need to get any additional bulbs. I'm starting to get into this repairing things on my own and so far enjoying it. I would appreciate any info/help you all can provide.
