Bottom line is, it's up to you as to how you proceed. I've done this when purchasing vehicles with liens on them and had no issue. The bank still has to send the title to the owner you are buying from with the lien release on it...

Spousal unit drove X5 today.
She did enjoy it! Realistically, the X5 already has a deposit on it. Can't sell it anyway

I test drive the X5 again today.
A couple of 4.6 questions. 1) Does the tachometer yellow and red light stay on after warm up? 2) does the M62 coolant tank have a lollipop floating dipstick? 3) one of the rear heated seats was odd. The switch worked, but the 2 lights went out within a minute or so. What's that mean? 4) This X5 has a much easier to turn the steering wheel. My 4.4 is heavy on the wheel, comparably. 5). This X5 has the sliding cargo tray, do they work? Rattle a little bit? Thank you Guys.

I cant answer everything but, my tachometer oil temp lights go off after about 5 minutes of driving. They do stay lite a bit longer than my M5.
Rear heated seats, I believe my lights stay lite the entire time. Could be a fuse issue? Steering is fairly light in the 4.6, I think it's due to that servotronic steering option: Quote:
Retractable cargo tray is a nice option! Some people say they are useless and take up more cargo space, but I'd love to have one for groceries, golf bags, etc.

Is this a deposit you put down on it?

Yes to the first two questions. Rear heated seats lights should operate just like fronts. Cargo doesn't rattle and is nice feature that makes it easier to get stuff from the back.

You can specify whatever you want in the contract. It's nothing but words on a piece of paper and won't change the fact the buyer could get burned.
If the seller is unable to obtain a clear title and decides not to deal with it he has the money and the buyer has a vehicle he cannot use. Now the buyer has to either pursue recovery of the money from the seller or resolution to clear the title. Either way the buyer now has to deal with it. |
