How is your fuel tank filler cap? Is it difficult to remove? Asking in case your fuel tank has a vacuum...or other issue related to the previous suggestion about the vapor LDP.

It didn't seem that difficult to remove after I tested when I parked last night. However, I believe I heard a change in pattern of the knocking noise once I did this. I will continue to experiment to see what effect removing the fuel cap has on the noise after I park....

Check OBC for code.

I did, and there was a P0460 code, which I think is related to the fuel level sensor - when I fill up my tank all the way, the sensor does not work properly and reports less than a full tank. This has not tripped the CEL though, and I'm not sure that it's related at all to this noise...

Yes, P0460 is fuel sensor code.

I can't open your file so I haven't heard the sound. Might pull the back seat and listen to see if it is coming from the fuel pump.
