Sounds like progress: now I would recommend a proper bat replacement / refurbish on the other keys once the new one is sync'd

Hopefully you took your old remote key with you. Because all remotes MUST be programmed during the same session in order for them all to work. Each time you reinitialize the remote keys...a new rolling code table is assigned to the keys by the GM.

Any remote key not programmed during the same session (see STEP 6 in the instructions below)...will no longer have the latest rolling code table...thus will not lock/unlock & arm/disarm the vehicle using the remote buttons on the key (you'll have to insert the key manually into the driver's door lock to lock/unlock & arm/disarm the vehicle).
Only insert the 1st key into the ignition (and remove it in STEP 3 right before you start pressing the buttons). Do NOT insert the 2nd/3rd/4th remote key into the ignition. If you do, you will erase the programming of the previous key. Always start the programming of other remotes on STEP 3...where you start pressing the buttons.

What he said but you can re-reprogram all keys once you have a working master.

Hey guys. Okay, here's the update. I did have my existing good working key when I picked up the key at the dealer (thanks to everyone's posts) so we do have two working keys now. I repaired the lock cylinder tonight, that was relatively easy and worked first time amazingly. However, there remains one problem: there is no electrical communication between the driver's door and the car. No central locking (mechanical lock is fine) when you use it, interior lights do not come on when you open the door, no "door open" warning when its open and car is running and when you turn the driver's door lock to either locked or unlocked it only works the driver's door. So in my mind, its like whatever/wherever it's supposed to be communicating/working with the car it's not. Everything else works great. I just pulled the door panel and as carefully as I could made sure everything is plugged in and looks OK. Really not sure where to go next with this. Any ideas???

A bad body control module will not set off a SES or CEL light. You need to get the X scanned at a dealer or an Indy that has the correct scanner to scan all the modules, not just the emission OBD II module.

The lock is electrical so it won't lock without power. There are two sensors in the door lock to detect key position and determine if it should lock or unlock the door. How it communicates back to the central lock is a different story.

It does sound like disconnect in the wiring harness to the door if no light/ajar etc. I would find wiring diagram and look for broken wires or damaged connector. (Or any fuses also related).

Key fob now will unlock all besides driver door?

Ok, so everything is working now! After a bit of reading through the Bentley I realized that I had the window switch assembly unplugged last night when I was trying out the rebuilt lock cylinder in the door. It was dark and I was tired and didn't think about it. But, after going out and hooking everything up it works as it all should! Huge relief!
So we now have two working keys and the roll down feature works great, as do all the other functions of the keys, lights and central locking system.
Hindsight being 20/20, I would have re-synced the good key right after taking possession of the car and this all would have never happened! Many lessons learned.
Really appreciate everyone taking the time to respond with great information and knowledge!
I feel like a slow learner on this stuff, but I'm getting there. 😀

That's just fantastic news. From my personal experience, similar events that maybe sucked along then way were worth the trip for the increased knowledge amassed along the way not to mention new acquaintances.
