Yep, I work the graveyard shift... Oddly, I work for the company that makes the foam part of our seats... All the X series seats... Anyway, the initialization procedure is really easy... push and hold open until you hear a click. Push and hold close (not tilt) until you hear a click... it should be right... might need to push and hold close first, then do open... going from memory here... hope it works!

Good luck with getting it back to normal... it might just need a good night's sleep after a hard night in the rain...

Cheers!

Oh ok.... makes sense that your up late.

Ya I hope that it only takes the re initialization, hopefully.

I now need to figure out how to best dry the interior..... I was thinking having a detail shop come out and give it a whirl... or if I should just get a heater and air it out........not sure.

Well, at least it's closed for now... I never open mine, but probably should more often to keep everything moving freely...

The detail guys/gals might only be able to clean, unless specifically geared towards drying... I'd try the vehicle heater first... pull up a corner where you think the water that did get in might collect and see if it's still damp in the slightest... if it is, you may need to pull the carpet to positively dry everything out... just to keep the mildew and possible interior rust at bay...

Cheers!

Well, I'm glad it seems to be very positive news.
You did say it rained a lot in caption and I understood that as everything being soaked in few inches of water.
If that was the case, you wouldn't be starting the car so soon.

William -

Just curious. Is the shop that makes the foam the same shop that makes the complete seat ? I got a Golden Unicorn awhile back....which was a complete seat, with all the guts and kaboddle. Never seen a part like that available under the parts DB

BTW, I'm sure you're well aware, but there the sound deading under the carpet is a super SOAKER. Do def. do pull the carpet and such up to get the interior properly dry to mitigate moisture issues like ...mould

Indeed as such is how the part is sold - aka, separately.

LOL, I guess that re-confirms it was a golden unicorn

Wow, Pre-H20! You have certainly been through it. On the moon roof, I would look into your switch being toast.Get a new one of the bay of flees and fit it. Glad you go the water out. In the UK at the moment its cold, humid and damp. Heres a tip - So I have those little wardrobe dehumidifiers in each of the door cards. It mean the car is dry inside and the window clear quickly in the morning.

To help pull the water from the carpeting and padding...use a DEHUMIDIFIER...it will work a lot better than a heater...and do it soon to help prevent the development of mold.

Anytime power is disconnected, the sunroof or pano roof needs to be reinitialized. I don't remember seeing model year info from the OP...so we don't know if its a pano or regular sunroof.

I'll go out on a limb and assume that its the pano sunroof...see reinitializing info below:
