For those of you with cracked CV Boots: 1. Was it mostly the OUTER boot? 2. At what miles did the rubber cracked? My 2006 X5 3.0i 6spMT with 130K...it looks like my CV Boots are still factory.

GKN all day! Outer boot driver side 80K, and outer boot passenger 90K.

O.P. here
For my 2006 X5 3.0 6spmt with 142K miles... Back in Oct 2025, I replaced the CV boots and axle seals. I disassembled it from the Inner Tripod side, so no need for the CV tool mentioned in the first page. https://www.bimmerfest.com/threads/d...boots.1484879/
