Flared Arches w/ Boards?!

These people are idiots!! I just got off the phone with the parts guy at the stlr, and when describing the flares, he was lost. He said there was no way to order them seperately. Then I spat out the part numbers, and he was PISSED OFF that I had the info! Im like Anyway, he said he couldnt order them unless I had a specific VIN to order them against. Again, ...Im thinking these will have to be ordered from the states...

There are two versions of the flares, though - on for use w/ running boards, one w/o.

The part#s I gave go with running boards only. Interesting how the $tealers react, when I ordered my running boards, the guy argued with me over the phone that i do not need flared arches as they come with r/bs. In the end I told him I want these part#s and will see later if I need it or not. You do not need any VIN#s to order.

If you try to order from CircleBMW, they would ask for your VIN and wouldn't sell anything that the VIN wouldn't call for.

That's the first I've heard of such a policy. And it's scary.

It's like the $tealer saying "we know what's best for you." And yet, as many of us have learned--we have to educate them.

A lot of dealers are doing this now....Its rediculous...Ive got a friend in OK looking into getting a set...We'll see...

Im having the same issue with the dealer.

So to clarify.
The above part numbers are ONLY for the flares I need to order for my 06 4.8is, then I need to order the running boards, just the starndard ones, no special part number on the running boards for the 4.8is? These part numbers are also for the flared version, not the standard version????
I already have flares on my 4.8is, and the dealer keeps telling me the running boards will not fit.
