Thanks for the feedback. UPDATE: After frustration with my local auto parts store and even walking into an indy shop to see if they can just pull out the pin connectors (they couldn't), I was able to pull them out with a needle nose and brute force.
I messed up the re-soldering though and although the fuel level issue was fixed, a p1092 "lean bank 2" code remained which I assumed was due to some poor resistance readings at the sensor since it wasn't there before the mouse attack. I re-soldered again and the code and SES has gone away (for now at least). Word to the wise - in retrospect, I should have bought new pins (actually the female pins) rather than try to reuse to the old ones. Hopefully, the code won't come back.
