Fender flares ...rear shocks size and springs help..!!

HI guys....
Where to get fender 4.6 4.8is flares ebay only one guy sells them from Latvia I guess any other option ..

Whant to lower x5 can I just use 3.0 rear springs on my 4.4
Or any other not to expensive alternative. ..once lowered do I need shorter shocks or the regular ones will fit ...will they make the ride hight bigger or lower....?

And when lowering passenger window from main switch won't work but on the passenger door it does how can I test the main switch ? Thanks...

Good day!!

I guess there are aftermarket fender flares... I think buying used would be your best bet, but I haven't checked the quality of the non-oem version...

The 3.0L rear coil springs will physically fit in your 4.4L... I did this on my 2004 before I got the air ride repaired... For a real aggressive stance with lowering springs, you might need to do a quick search of the forum... Others have done this and posted what they like and dislike... A lot of the aftermarket big name suspension companies have this stuff worked out for us... Again, the shocks are probably apart of the suspension kit others have installed... I kept the same shocks when I installed the rear coil springs...

The easiest way to test the switch is to install a used one that works... If the replacement one fixes the issue, it is the old switch... If you have the same problem, it is maybe a broken wire in the connector or such... A volt meter would help you out here if you can use one...

Good luck!!

Cheers!!

I am currently upgrading my 3.0 to 4.8iS rear bumper and flares. It is more expensive than I thought doing it with OEM parts. So far my project has crossed the $3K mark but it is done right. I'm off to Watkins Glen in the morning and should be able to pick up the painted bumper when I get back next week from the body shop and begin the installation.

Used style 87 20" wheels with Conti DWS 275/315 $900
Used 4.8iS rear bumper $515
New 4.8iS fender flares $550/pair
New lower bumper flare extensions to match new fender flares (used ones off donor 4.8iS bumper worn and faded) $450/pair
Lower bumper flare install kit and dozens of plastic expanding rivets $100
Paint bumper and lower valance from donor Imola red to black at body shop $625
