If the driveway wasn't bad I wouldn't own the X5

I bought it because my bmw cars don't care for the driveway.

It is the consensus that you get gravel or pave the driveway. Now get to it!

Wont be anymore gravel till they get a new driver. Last one refused to deliver again when he got stuck

The problem is springs popping up in the middle of the driveway over and over. This is my lifted f250 with 36 inch tires after the driveway collapsed again.

I have the Powerflex and we have pretty rubbish roads in the UK, well... in London anyway which is full of speed humps AND.... yeah they add slightly more stiffness. But the feel of the car in direction changing at any speed is totally worth it. I wouldn't go back to stock. I can live with a little stiffness but I would NOT do it if I had bigger than 19" wheels on.

Im running the stock 17" wheels with the stock 235r65 tires.

I just don't really want it to ride rough is all.

You should ask your truck drivers if they've ever heard of a reverse spread... Or find a contractor that can build a driveway.

Yep reverse spread worked real well for that last load I have delivered. Made it easy for the bulldozer to pull him out since he was able to connect to the front of the 3 axle dump truck and pull it out of the sink hole he found himself in.

I got that same routine on the contractor from the guy with the million dollar home down the road from me. I didn't have the heart to rub it in on him when he sold his place and moved after all that money he spent having an airfield built behind his house. The hangar sunk and his driveway collapsed.

We have a killer water table here. Water just bubbles up out of the ground in different places.

The only ones with nice homes and no issues in the homes are built on top of mountain rises. My house is on a mini rise but the driveway runs thru a flat spot. It works on most of the time as long as super heavy stuff stays off it. Big trucks just sink up in whatever water spout is wanting to erupt.

Im using metal grids in places to hold it together. The pros that came out the last time said the only thing they would build and guarantee was a bridge from the highway to my yard.

I could buy a new home for that cost.

I wont be living here forever as I will be moving a nice home with a big yard in a town not far from here eventually so there are limits to how much Im willing to invest in the quest for a driveway here.
