Quick question about FUSES

If the car is standing, can I remove any fuse for 24hrs or more without any problems occurring with the obc or modules i.e programming /coding issues?

Can I safely remove a module or cluster fuse for instance and not worry that it will cause a problem when I come to turn ignition and.drive if removed for extended periods of time?

The worse case scenario would be losing radio presets, distance meter reset (klm's traveled since last reset), etc. Its not going to mess up coding.

That's the case with every fuse including OBC fuse?

Thanks for the advice

Lets try it this way. If you remove the battery from the vehicle you do not lose coding.

So you can remove all the fuses you want as they are just interrupting the battery. That make sense?

Makes sense for sure but I was told by bmw if I disconnect battery for a long time say 24 hours or more I might have problems when reconnecting it to the car i.e probably won't start thought this might be the case for certain fuses ie obc fuse

Thanks for quick reply crowz truly appreciate it

As Crowz mentioned you can take the battery out for a YEAR without any issues other than the radio and maybe the seat presets. The dealer "knowledge worker" has spent way too many years with the newer generations to remember that the E39/E53 models do NOT have a coded battery to the car.
