May the Lord have mercy on your soul!!
I should have done this as a preventative measure this past summer when I had to change out my steering rack and front suspension because I was RIGHT THERE at it, but I was frustrated with other stuff and didn't do it.
It's going to be a bitch if you are doing it in your driveway/garage. You have to remove so many parts just to get to all of the bolts on the alternator bracket itself. If/when I have to do it, I will set aside a full weekend. I wish you luck. You should document it. |

How many hours to do this? If I have to do upper timing gasket also does it make this easier?

Like I kind of eluded to before, personally I will clear my whole weekend to do this job. 1 day to tear down and 1 day to put it back together. But, I'm one man, with a floor jack and stands, hand tools, and an engine support bar. |

Are you absolutely sure the leak is from the bracket? Mine turned out to be from the upper timing gasket. The oil drips pooled around the alternator bracket. I changed the bracket gasket and I still had oil leaks. Replaced the timing gasket and all was well.
