NZBM is on a distinguished road
Idle control valve mechanically stuck

Got the "engine fail safe programme" with trifecta of lights twice today during the same journey.

Ignition off and on again cleared the trifecta but check engine light and fail safe remained.

Scanned for codes and got D3 idle control valve mechanically stuck
No ABS module codes.

STFT 0
LTFT -8
Upstream oxy sensors reading fine
Downstream oxy sensors fixed at .7

Cleared codes, drives fine at the mo.

The ICV was thoroughly cleaned when I got the car a year ago, along with the TB, New CCV, intake boots, Vac lines, New cooling system etc.

After work tomorrow I'll remove and inspect the valve, clean it and check the electrical connectors etc. But I doubt that its that rammed full of dirt after a year that its stuck open/closed

I don't like just throwing parts at an issue. Anyone had similar issue, anything else worth checking out or testing? Any pattern failures with this code?

Cheers
