Thank you wfwright2. I found his post and he also has that one listed on fleaBay for $280 plus $18 shipping. In the end, I may have to pay that kind of premium but for now I'll continue my search. Thank you for your time sending me the link.

I have found some very nice similar extinguishers with seat mounts for $30/40. When I find one that fits the X5 I'll be sure to share. Bummer it won't be the actual BMW branded one bit at least I won't have to consider if I would use it to help a stranger.

Well, well, well, look what finally showed up. This Gloria fire extinguisher (72 60 0 140 504) is for the Mini R50 and R53 and after contacting the seller in Germany and getting pictures, I bought it for $67.41 USD brand new and is an exact match to the BMW 72 60 0 000 335 except for the Mini logo on the bottle. I had to wait weeks for delivery but in the end it was worth the wait. Sure beats the $300 ones for sale on fleaBay.

Awesome find! I assumed that it bolts right up with the included hardware? I may pick up a couple (one for the X and one for the coupe)

Yep, you just need the L brackets for the bottom of the seats.

4 torx head bolts come with the bracket kit. You may need to tap the holes in the bottom of the seat to 6mmx1.0 but it takes 2 minutes. I got mine from ECS Tuning for the same cost as Turner.
