Congratulations. Why are you disappointed? You picked up a 4.6is X5 cheap and you have two spare 4.6is engines in your garage so you will be spending very little to make it whole again? Sounds like a win-win to me.

I was hoping for a timing guide replacement, Now i'm at engine replacement, And all the "while you're in there" stuff.

4.6 engine $2,865


Everything else so far around $1000, I'm keeping the car for myself so it doesn't matter how much I spend,

It will make a nice vehicle once you run through it. I love the way they drive and handle and like yourself I just ran through mine to give it the peace of mind that I like to have with any of my BMWs.
