TPMS - Self Leveling Suspension using INPA
Can somebody tell me the 'correct' entry sequence to program the ride height using INPA please? > Select e53 > Select Chassis > Select Twin Axel Air suspension (or EHCII) > Select Calibrate height. > Select difference between default INPA heights for 20" rims and the measured heights. This works but the car immediately, forgets the values I just entered. I need to know he correct sequence to set up <Access Mode> etc so that the system remembers the correct values for all three settings (I am using the default settings/heights and stock 20" rims). Many Thanks Bruce |

TPMS - Self Leveling Suspension using INPA
Folks
Any thoughts. I see no obvious way to ‘save’ each change within “INPA”. Or, possibly more helpful, anyway to reset the system to its default factory settings? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I found that after setting new values, it takes a day or so for the adjustments to settle down. Be patient! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Thank you. That is not what I wanted to hear ;^) So there is no 'Save' Settings to default ? This is not good as I am struggling to know if I have the car set up correctly, or not. How do BMW do this? I struggle to think they 'set it up' then, wait a few days to see what happens? I am starting to think that INPA is NOT the tool to use for setting up the suspension to default or any other ride height? It provides a table of the default values for each wheel/tyre size, but this is a reference and not table that is used by the actual tool (if that makes sense). So in INPA you > get the car on level ground > measure the height at each wheel (ground to to center/top of arch) > Enter the difference between the measured height and the INPA default height into "Calibrate" Then wait a few days? |

You are correct, there is no Save button. As you adjust your ride heights the car will respond if changes are made. After you make your changes just exit out of INPA. Now after all done shut off the X if it was running and wait a while. Go for a short drive - run an errand. Come home and shut it off, it should have settled into the calibrated adjustment.
I think I cycled mine through a raise and a lower also with multiple start stops snd short trips. I do remember the air compressor running at each startup for the next couple days, but that didn’t seem to make changes to the ride height. My mistake was multiple adjustments without going on a drive. I think my X got confused (along with me). You may need to go for a drive before you start making new changes and then start calibration all over. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Air suspension calibration issue
Hi guys... yes i know that this thread is now old but i am having the same issues.
After fitting new rear suspension air bags I found that the air pump does not work by itself to inflate the suspension as it should do to retain the correct height. I am using INPA to set the correct height at 721mm. Using INPA I can inflate the rear suspension air bags and if i drive in town they stay raised. Or after a week or so there will be a slight fall in height. Driving on the motorway causes the suspension to drop faster and I get the Inactive air suspension error etc. Now, i have checked for leaks etc and using INPA i can communicate with the EHC and there are no errors there etc. So, i think my issue is that the values I am inputting may not be correct or i am doing something wrong. Any further assistance much appreciated. Thank you |

Just an update. I found that i had bad sensors and after replacing them the pump was working fine. I just need to work out the correct height measurements to put in to the software for the calibration. |
