I had a black E46 and loved it when it was clean...which lasted about 7 minutes lol. Metallic Grey and titanium silver have always been the best IMO for cleaning up but staying sharp even with some dirt

I had a black (GlanzSchwarz) E34 M5. Drove it 7/365. It was NEVER clean. I called it "Road Warrior"

Nice find! Suggestion for son. Tell him you will sell him the X5 for $100 or he can buy whatever he wants with his own money. Don't give it to him unless it is a present for a birthday, holiday or graduation. X5 is a great vehicle for those years when they are likely to have an accident.
