Yeah - hopefully!

The silicone I referred to should be silicone grease, not silicone sealant. Just a very light smear round the sealing face on the connector, to help keep moisture out. Some contact cleaner/lubrication spray would be good for the pins on both male and female sides.

No certainty that this is your issue but it's an easy win if it is...

This is an embarrassing post to write. I struggled with odd faults for almost a year on my 2005 3.0. trans fail safe; SRS lights; CEL. Finally was experiencing issues where the clock would need reset - as if the battery power had been interrupted. The end of the story was that I found that I had not securely tightened the positive & negative cables to the battery when I had replaced it almost a year ago. The cables were on, but not tight. The 'unclean' circuit, occasional interruption, poor connection leads to many issues. It probably is not the issue, but confirm the battery connection. There are many posts documenting how these vehicles hate unclean power - poor grounding, a degraded cable, etc. Since someone just messed with the battery confirm that the job was done right. I unfortunately discovered that I can't even trust my own work . After tightening the cables and clearing all the codes my vehicle has been flawless for the last month.

I did the same with my alternator, it turns out an alternator will work for a while with a finger tight nut. Then you'll start to get random errors and perhaps a transmission failsafe

I think the map cooling error is that the heater in the thermostat is not registering; check the wires and connector before replacing. Check your temp while driving also using the hidden menu.

Check all your great ground cables. There should be very little voltage drop on any cables.
