Hard to think it's that. There are no threads or any markings. Just the lip for what looks like an o-ring maybe. Here is an ECS link to the oil check valves up there.
ESC Part: ES#23184 BMW Part: 11367539857 Nothing on the piece resembles it or parts of it. A few oil changes back, my oil filter check valve let loose and came out with the oil change. Given this piece has now appeared, I'll source another oil pump assembly and in a few weeks have my shop drop the pan, have a look at everything on the bottom end and put in the new/used pump assembly. I'll destruct the unit they pull out to see if I can find the home of this part.
