NYC Coding // thought on iCarly
As long and tedious the repairs have been, I've never monkeyed with any of the code tools Is carly the easiest of the bunch ? I don't see myself with the E53 in potentially 12-14months |

Don't bother with iCarly. It was great on the E70 and newer platforms but on the E53 it was very limited.
I can turn yours off via PA Soft 1.4 if you want, I'm in NYC as well.

Turning off cold check monitoring with BMW Scanner 1.4 (PA Soft 1.4) is as easy as 123. Take Mr. Robot up on his offer but this tool can be had for as little as $20 and a Windows OS based laptop. Here's a thread going thorugh all the basics of this program. It is powerful and will do a lot of simple and complex coding with a decent user interface. PA Soft 1.4 for Dummies

Yes very easy, takes couple minutes I have a dedicated old macbook with bootcamp running XP on it just to run INPA and PA Soft.
Overboost I'm gonna steal your picture for another thread =)

Carly is very easy to work with. Highly recommend it. Would take me 5-10 min the most to code a bunch of features on your car. From my experience I can pretty much code all available features on the e53 minus seatbelt chime. If anyone has a hack for that I would be extremely greatful. Otherwise I’m on the upper east and can code your lights free of charge.

@Overboost That does look nice and easy! I like the check the boxes thing, like Progman does for the car/key programming. Have one on the way

I found Carly useless on the e53. I had it already from my e70 and sold it after I got rid of it.
