I can get cheap parts at the local pick n pull, $10 for alternator or starter plus a core charge and $20.00 for a fuel pump plus core charge. I can bring the alternator to my local Pep Girl or the Manualzone and they can test it for me for FREE. I keep spare parts at home in case I need them, but if I sell the car before needing the parts, I just flip them on eBay for a profit.
