VVDI2 for bmw which version to choose
I am planning on purchasing a VVDI2 for bmw. There seem to be a number available from different suppliers via a range of outlets at different prices https://goo.gl/yBr441 Is there something specific I should be looking for or do I just go for any 'vvdi2 for bmw x5'? Are all of the vvdi2 version to perform the same functions on the car? Does anybody have any recommendations of the best place to buy one from? Thanks for any input you can provide. |

Assuming (since this is the e53 forum) you are talking about and e53, as Fifty150js mentioned, there are much less expensive ways to code a key for this car. I can tell you that I was able to do it rather easily with the AK90 programmer tool for $30.
https://www.ebay.com/itm/Latest-OBD2...-/262399706121 You never know with BMW, but after using this little device, I surmise that the level of sorcery going on inside the EWS unit is not particularly massive...and definitely not enough for ME to acquire a $600 programmer, but I shan't judge. You might have some alternative uses/plans in store. As it stands, I was able to easily code a cool little flip key.
