X5 4.8is vd Cayenne GTS

So, I currently have a 2008 Cayenne GTS - and let me be clear I love it... BUT current work situation has forced me to have to adjust my commute to close to 100 miles a day.

Besides the 14mpg I am getting in the GTS, 100 miles a day is destroying the GTS, and the increased miles will kill resale value.

The only other thing I am considering is a 4.8is, 2005 with about 140k or 2004 with 120k (but either the valve seal issue or the cvc tube issue).

How do the 4.8's hold up to daily abuse, or should I look towards getting a daily beater, and calling it even?

My concern is to get rid of the GTS, and my payment and buy the 4.8 outright and not stress about resale.

What's everyone's experience with high mile 4.8's?
