Thumbs up [Solved] X5 No cabin heat

I accidentally put the hose from the aux water pump on the wrong connector of the heater control valve. All fixed. It was the heater control valve after all, not the auxiliary water pump. But heh, I have a new one of those installed now. Good to have heat again. I will do a complete coolant flush after I buy a hydraulic jack and stands.

For anyone thinking of replacing the expansion tank, auxiliary water pump and heater control valve I rate it as a fairly easy job. You just might have some stubborn hoses to get off. Looking back as a first timer I am glad I attempted it rather than paying the extra dollars to the BMW dealership..:0)

Thanks guys for all your comments on this. Cheers!

Ha Ha, thanks Andrew. I am going to refurbish it so I will let you know when it’s on ebay. ). Now I have to focus on an oil leak that has just developed. But this is for another thread. cheers!

ps I read your comments and others about a circuit board track issue with the window switch. I am having the same issue. I will go over to that thread and bring it to life.

Use the jumper fix don't try to remove the relay. The pins broke off the relay when I tried
