rip em off

just rip em off and then use a little adhesive remover. They are attached with a 3m spongy like material.. just be careful not to bend the metal part back against the paint

It is a cleaner look, IMO. As a side bonus, it makes it easier to wash and wax.

They may change the exhaust with the 4.4 or 4.8 exhaust for a little more than pocket change. Then someday, somebody like me will race them and their X5 will be all huffed and puffed.

Actually I would. I'm not fond of those side emblems at all, whether they were 4.8is or whatever I'd take them off. Interestingly, in Europe you can order your M3, M5, etc with badge deleted for no charge. They're not big on advertising.
