You will very likely need to use the unzip program by 7zip to extract the files (which is what I used and which was also recommended by the author). I would like to see which cables people are using!

Thanks, hopefully that's what I need .

I'm using an eBay clear cable with white PCB. I can't remember if the two pins are linked. ( I need to check and install a switch if needed.)
My cable has a software option to enable or disable D-CAN mode which is a bit tricky. I wonder if that could be a cause for some communication issues...

Similar to this:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/INPA-Ediaba...sAAOSwAHtaKQVs

This is not the seller I used, but the cable is similar. There are other cables with a switch near the label...
I can't recommend it yet due to the following issues:

I have a late 2000 e53 4.4 with both the round and OBD2 connectors. EU spec with RHD.

I have communication problems with some modules and some will not accept instructions from Inpa. Particularly the airbag module and ABS/DSC.

I can interact with Nav, Engine, Seats, and Lights, and clear MOST errors from other modules...

From memory I can read most (if not all) modules, so I assume the cable is good...

Hopefully the fresh files will sort out my issues.
Cheers.

Let me know if the files work.

I have the blue Romanian cable with no switches.

i have one of the clear cables with the switch. works great as far as i can tell... i originally messed up my e53 when i thought i needed to Code the VIN on a module then bricked the entire car and then proceeded to just rip through all modules with WinKFP trying to program... eventually i somehow for the dead car working again. I'm now in a scenario where the A/C doesnt work.

I personally downloaded ''Mike's easy bmw tools''. It has been working perfectly for me, it also runs on Windows 7/10, no XP needed. Installation is also easy, you download it off his site, open the installer and you're set!

It allowed me to do everything I have been needing to do on my E53 with INPA. Also, this version of INPA allows you to connect to other models aswell. Just type in ''Mike's easy bmw tools'' on google, and go to the car-auto-repair website one. 90% of the program is in English, but now a days with google translate to help out some parts being in German does not matter too much!

Hope this might help!

Do you see option F3 when in the e53 individual modules?

i think when i go to individual modules i can hit F3 and get info, but most models have the list like I mentioned above.

i think i narrowed it down to me screwing up my center console heated switch button panel. (SMZ) cause i can't even get a response from it now. I ordered another on ebay hoping that everything will work after. (Currently not working is the Air Con)
