Not sure that will work. I think the voltage for the DRL high beams are 5V hence the dimmed brightness. H7 is what you want but most LED bulbs are set for 12V.

There is some of them for sale with integrated chip so should work for him, I have had same on my previous E53, works fine, no errors on the dash
