Resurrecting this thread, I have placed the USB-C ports in the center console along with the harnesses. how do I wire this up?

Brown wire (pin #2) goes to brown (brown with black?) wire on cig. socket. this is the ground connection.

Pin #3 (not sure of colour - blue with red?) is illumination and connects to the grey with red wire on the cig. socket bulb connection.

Pin #1 (not sure of colour - blue with ?) is power and can either connect to power wire on the cig. socket or better, run a wire up to the fusebox behind the glovebox an tap into a switch power source.

Connecting directly to the cig. socket power will run the USB-C converters at all times and may flatten the battery after a week or so.

Connecting to the switched power will shut off the USB-C converters when you shut down the car.
