If they can’t figure out the no start when it is cold I doubt that they are very knowledgeable

The thing is.. theres no start only when extrem cold like minus 20 celcius.. and it hapen only a few time during winter, most of the time its like minus 10 and in that scenario the car do start, so its hard to detec5 the problem i guess

I've been there with cars back in the 80s; no alcohol in the gas you can expect no start if you didn't put in heet when temp got to zero F which is just about exactly -20c

@ Takimo.

I would recommend finding a shop to read codes from the OBD port. If you want a very easy to use BMW solution, buy the CarlySoft "dongle" to pair to your smartphone. The software can be downloaded (iOS and Android versions) for free, you have ONE free lookup before the modest subscription fee. For a modern car, you need the appropriate tool. I own and use Carly. It is also very handy for coding as well as normal diagnostics. Excellent value for money.

alright so the outcomes

yesterday it was 3C, i put 150ml of fuel antifreeze on a half full tank , but i decided to wait for today to start the car because it was warmer, 7C today .. and it start like a charm, but idle was rought, car was shaking, so i press gas to 1300rpm still in P and it was smoother .. i then stop, but rough idle came back, so i put to D and went for a ride and then no problem

so how likely the problem was really the fuel freezing .. on a 1/2 tank ?

I'm betting your premium fuel doesn't have ethanol. I'm betting your low octane does. Find out if your gas station has ethanol in the premium. That would explain the difference.
