Oil pickup screen
Is there a way to remove the large cap on the oil pump pickup tube without damaging it, to get to the actual screen and clean it thoroughly?

Got most of the timing chain guide chunks and rtv out of it. The screen is slanted and I'm not sure if I've removed it all.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance

Searching didn't do much good.

I'll try to upload pictures when they're the right size/file format.
