How the e53 X5 was designed

Interesting video by the e53 X5 designer and how it was first pitched. Wish that some of the new designers would adhere to some of the things Frank mentioned...like the vehicle should be recognizable with what buyers know to be the brand’s elements (do the new BMW designers hear this?).

I do think that new BMW designers did listen to Frank explaining that new BMW styling should be recognisable to the buyers.
The problem is that BMW lately is going after the Honda, Toyota etc... buyers because styling is clearly going in that direction.
Let's face it:
We here are tiny minority of new BMW buyers and BMW is going where the profit is. Our "BMW passion and dedication" doesn't do much for new car sales.

I thought the X was designed by engineers at Land Rover.
