Update time!
Shortly after modifyinig the mufflers I wanted a bit more sound so I opened them up again and took most of the packing out. I don't have a clip of it but it is a little louder and sounds very deep at low revs. No droning on the highway. Perfect. I had to fix the leaky valve covers and wanted to paint them at the same time:    Had to fix both the Vanos solenoid leaks too:  And I replaced the aux belts because one of them was squeeking on startup. Happy that it was not one of the bearings  The results:   One of the door handles broke , fixed it with a Febi replacement  We had lots of snow this year, did some donuts and drifts    Did some towing in The Hague to pick up some furniture. Small streets.  Did some more towing, bringing my track car to the dyno for ECU tuning after engine work.   Still had one leaky door because of a broken weather barrier, ordered a new OEM item instead of a DIY plastic version. Hopefully it will be fixed now.   Quote:

I want to replace them anyway because they show age related cracks and they are a cheaper brand. I rather have matching front and rear tires.  Currently not much planned for more modifications, actually non at all except a supercharger but that is like mission impossible because they are almost non existent second hand. Currenlty the X5 is perfect in my eyes and does everything while looking  I even had someone that thought it was a new car

Other then that no issues! Finally matching tire brands and type front and rear.  After that I must still fix my small transmission leak, it's leaking at the pan gasket and I will replace the selector shaft seal at the same time.

Update time
I replaced the transmission pan gasket and selector shaft seals a few months ago, I think it fixed my leak Picked up a new toy. Still need to get my license for it, in the meantime I already repainted it and did some small cosmetic mods.   Took some pictures, can't stop taking pictures of this car    I had installed electronic cutouts on this car before my ownership and kind of missed the sound of them so I decided to bring them back. But this time better then before:       It looks close to the ground but that is just the picture  Sound clip! https://youtu.be/KztgLIC-fXk The X5 is doing great. I did contact a company that makes supercharger kits but decided not to mod it for now, maybe later. In 2022 I would like to drive the Nurburgring Nordschleife with the X5 Pictures will follow when that happens!
