Oh, and another thought... have you actually checked the lights?

I imagine that if you have a halo lamp out (or both) then these red icons would appear but you might not notice the halos (angel eyes) aren't working.

What happens when you switch on the halos manually (first manual position on the light switch - sometimes called park)? Get out of the car and check.

So low cluster, now we're cooking with gas. Does your car have factory headlights? Factory HID? Or are they factory halogen with retrofit HID's? Retrofits will trip the headlight check warning unless you code the LCM for the upgrade.

Both of your halo lights working? Side marker lights? Turn signal indicators?
All of those things will trip the low cluster front headlight warnings.

I have noticed that one side does not have the ring around the larger light come on when lights are on automatic, I am wondering if this is what is causing the headlight icons to come on

Very likely - replace the AE (halo) bulb and find out.

I've modified my AE (halo) lamp holders so I can simply change the bulb instead of the entire fitting - much cheaper!

https://youtu.be/GDApyupw_1Y

The bulb you need is a 12v 10W halogen, BA9S base.

I managed to do the same and get the lamp at a local Napa auto parts for $2.99 each, filed a small niche in the housing so the lamp slides in perfectly.

All lights are now gone!

Thanks you all for the help

Great - well done!

I've replace many of these small halogen lamps over the years. The Philips and Osram lamps never seem to last long - 100-150 hours if you are lucky (about six months in my case).

I'm currently running with German-made Flosser lamps and they have lasted well - about 18 months or more so far!
