Just received my Resler IBuss and am hoping to get it installed this weekend. Super excited for this to go in. I have never been able to see any info on this car, set the time/date, or listen to the radio. About time!

No one has any experience with the DAB+ adapter? Still wondering if I need to run the antenna to the trunk.

Car looks great with the new wheels, Spook!
I run the Resler IBUS USB. You will love it!

I did buy the optional DAB+ antenna (USB type). It does work but loses signal sometimes. Last time I used it it worked great and found many stations. I can't comment much though as I only use Spotify via Bluetooth streaming.

Did you have to run the 6m cable to the trunk to connect to the amplifier or just connect the DAB+ to the USB port?

Thanks for the reply!

Picture of My Home Screen

I really like how configurable the unit is on every level.

I hear all of the communications on the bus thanks to my Resler interface. I'm not sure why that is, but it is distracting when listening to music at low volume. Overall, the function is amazing.

This is the function I was hoping to have as well. I haven't messed with it too much but did find that I can't do anything with the home screen. Stuck with what they have installed?

Wanted to mention that the built in microphone sucks! This is one of the questions I had about using the existing hardware that was attached to the old HU. Can we tap into those pieces? Microphone, NAV unit, antenna, etc.

Just got the IBUS installed. When playing music from my iPhone, if I start the IBUS app, it shuts the music off. I have to stop both apps then restart one or the other. Anyone deal with this?

I will post from photos from the install of the app in a bit. Pics kinda suck because of the daylight.

For me, if I am playing music and start the IBUS app, the music volume reduces considerably, almost like the resource requirements are so high the unit has to give it more priority. The volume returns to normal after the IBUS app begins displaying all of its data on the screen. My music doesn't stop if I start the IBUS app, and my IBUS app doesn't stop if I play music, but I do have the 4GB RAM model, which might be a significant difference.

Hmmmm......that is something to think about. I did fool with the volume but am not sure I waited very long to see if it would start playing once it was actually running the Ibus app. I'll try that today. I actually get to drive the X today!

Not sure how to get the pics inline so I can write descriptions under each pic but they are in order.

First pic is of the little bit of plastic I had to remove to get the unit to sit flush correctly in the dash. I have a multi tool that did it quick and clean.

Second is of the WiFi antenna and loom zipped to the metal frame. GPS is on the other side. Not sure if this is the best spot for these but it was easy!

The other pics are from the actual app install. After that you will open the app and when it connects to the WiFi it will have you verify the license and off you go! There are hours worth of options to explore.
