I did sand all the rust on the bottom of the rails but since I had to move the seat forward to get at the bolts in the back to remove it I was only able to sand and paint a small section of the top and was supposed to clean up the rest once I had power to the seat again. Thanks for reminding me  I used some nail polish since that's all I had on hand. It's not pretty but it won't rust
