Nah - the MID connection it the other white connector with the grey cam/lever, over on the right. I'm referring to the 14-pin, white-shelled black connector on the very left...

Didn't see that connector in your first picture. I definitely see some slicing going on in your second picture though. With 3 wires in that connector, maybe is was an aux in harness that was never installed properly? Strange indeed.

The first picture I posted was for reference - it's not the OP's car. The second picture i posted was the OPs picture, from his first post in this thread.
