There are some differences in the amount of friction material on the clutch plates in the Valeo kits, but they'll all work.

I also commented in some other threads about the setup. Just search for 'Valeo', and you'll see some threads about suspension refresh and clutch work - it'll be in there.

One thing I'd HIGHLY recommend doing while you have the trans out is the detents. They tend to stick over time (and make your shifter lean toward 5th instead of springing back to the center). The parts are only a few dollars and not that hard to install.

I totally agree with the detents repair, as well as your shift linkage bushings.

Edit: And compliment it with an E46 ZHP shift knob.

Well the clutch/flywheel is here... by no means a "light weight flywheel" box said 35lbs. I will probably weight it later but the ups is that its a single mass flywheel.

Light weight flywheel for the SBC woyld be around 14 lbs ish. For general use. There would be lighter ones, but you run the risk of poor characteristics.

35lbs seems very heavy.
