Power Steering Fluid Leak on a 2003 X5 4.6is

I just bought parts for my daughter's 3.0 e53. In all the years I've owned and maintained BMWs the usual place is where the hoses connect to the reservoir.

On my daughter's 3.0 I bought the following:
3.0
32411095526 Intake manifold
32416767136 radiator return line
32416851217 reservoir

4.6
32416758958 Suction pipe
32416767138 radiator return line
32416851217 reservoir

Getting ready to replace these same parts on my 4.8
4.8
32416758958 Suction hose
32416767138 radiator return line
32416851217 reservoir

Of course you'll have to source the proper hose clamps.

I've always used Pentosin CHF11S on all my vehicles.

Funny enough I had to replace these on my other daughter's e83 and my e38.

Isn’t there a high pressure hose that is prune to leaking as well? I read one forum member had a loose nut on the power steering pump and tightening it took care of the leak for him.

Pentosin warns not to mix their fluid with ATF from other manufacturers. BMW stamp the cap on the reservoir with the type of fluid that is to be used in the PS system.

Unfortunately a number of my vehicles don't have the stamp/label. And I thought I had read somewhere, will have to go back and search, that this was the fluid that was able to supersede the other BMW ps fluid and retain compatibility without flushing the system.

Granted also this required draining all the previous fluid.

Cap was probably replaced along with the reservior with a non-BMW part at some time in it life.

Only 3 more posts until I hit 7000 posts.

On the Fcpeuro site the part numbers for the 4.6is seems to fit these 3 parts instead of the 4.6 you've listed:

Do you have a link to the proper hose clamps for these 2 hoses?
