Ah ha, loaded what came with the cable, will look for latest version & reinstall. Maybe with newer version i will get the same looking page as overboost.
Do you know if would have to unistall the version i have & install the newer or can i just update the software? |

ZKE3 versus ZKE5?
Each have slightly different parameters? Turning off 2-press locking and auto 5kmh locking is the first thing I do when I get a used BMW |

Isn't GM5 only on E46, E52 and E83.

Maybe that’s why the recent poster is seeing something different..he has ZKE3 |

Ok, so yeah looks like the different versions of the zke were giving me the different options list, as previous posters said.
So i clicked off the locking options & now have 1 click unlock. Pretty sure when i tried it the other day i was trying to unlock the doors with the doors open, dumb yeah i know. So while im / more my wife is happy to have one click unlock, i now have to replace another f#%king door handle carrier, broke the LHF on first attempt at opening. Not to pollute this thread with off topic but i have replaced every one twice in the 3 uears of having this car. Admittedly these have all been ebay replacements so the old get what you pay for i suppose, is there a “better than most” non genuine replacement that you have had longer term success with? |

EBay DHCs aren't much worse than OEM - except for fit.
Technique helps. Teach yourself (and your family) to always open the door with a thumb on non-moving door hand part. It's hard to break a DHC with the force of only four fingers - easy when you jerk the whole handle with a full fist driven by your shoulder.

I also have a '09 Chevy HHR Panel, which are notorious for broken inside doorhandles, but I also read-up on HHR problem prior to purchase in 2008; others on the HHR forum have said they've broken several handles, while mine are still perfect (but now that my wife uses it as her daily driver, that may not remain the case).
