Remove Nav head unit and replace with CD/MID?

Hi guys,

I'm thinking about buying a 2006 E53 that has the LCD nav screen. I prefer the look of the dash with the CD player/MID. The car is in great condition and low mileage for a fair price, so I'm wondering whether I could potentially remove the LCD screen and replace it with a CD player with wood trim and MID from eBay. The openings in the dash are definitely the same size....but I'm assuming the wiring is different? Or would there just be a another plug in the harness hanging out back there that I could use. I wonder if the wiring harnesses included plugs for both nav and non-nav cars?

Anyone have any experience with this?
