Modified Exhaust Video - 4.6IS

I was inspired by this video (https://youtu.be/xx3kq3vRxgQ) to use vibrant resonators on my E53.

I first did just the X pipe, replacing the center muffler. Not much of a difference.
I then had 2 Vibrant 1792 Bottle Style Resonators installed to replace the stock rear mufflers.

Very happy with the sound. Some drone inside, but I can live with it.
If I were to go one notch quieter, I'd pick the other Vibrant resonator line "Ultra Quiet Resonator".

The welding was done at Calgary Muffler Carline, by chinook center in Calgary.
They're really nothing special there, and I think I over-paid, but whatever.

Ok same as me then and I agree. Nothing special and unpaid a bunch just to get 4.8iS mufflers and some tubing installed. Not a hack and slash juob but not neat either like I see in a lot of vids of guys in USA going to muffler shops and having their stuff welded up and installed and for much cheaper.
Sounds great tho.

I'd like to see about getting some flo-pro twister mufflers installed on my 4.6. I have the 5" which I use on my ram 3500. Funny thing is with these, it's quiet on the highway with no drone.

Interesting. It's always a gamble trying a new muffler. I have a old truck with a 402 big block, with some loud mufflers (Spintech). The drone was terrible. I just had some Dynomax super turbo mufflers put on instead. Now it's almost too quiet.

I love spintech (street series) mufflers. I had their side exit street system installed on my mustang. Best sounding exhaust paired with long tube headers and x pipe. I miss that car.

Anyway, that vibrant setup sounds really good. Smooth and sporty.

I just found some super turbos as well, is it honestly at least a better sound than the stock mufflers? I currently have an xpipe and the 4.6 mufflers on a 2004 3.0i, just trying to recreate a a bit more rumble

My 4.8is sounds pretty good with just the centre res deleted....not a lot of difference from this, perhaps a bit more bark if anything.
