1. If I remembered correctly, you can only use the high beam (inner halogen) or low beam (halogen or HID) as DRL. You can re-wire the halos for DRL, but I don't believed you can program them to be on as DRL. Besides, those halos are so dim you won't be able to tell if they're on in the daytime anyway, so don't even bother.
2. This can easily be accomplished - I've done it to mine - too bad you're over 3k miles away  3. This can be accomplished as well, but I didn't bothered with mine since I don't mind it.
