Just introducing myself here. Picked up a clapped out e35 last week. Needs a lot of tlc. I couldn't pass it up at 500 bucks. The m54b30 in it is solid. About the only good thing going for it. Pretty sure it was rebuilt or replaced by how clean the engine bay is compared to the f'ed up interior.

Here's a vid..... it's not edited and I'm not very good with making them. So, watch at your own risk.

Wifey didn't waste time taking out the interior! Nice!! My wifey just wants to drive mine. It was supposed to be a temp vehicle while I fixed her Acadia. Now, we are keeping it.

What's the build date? Mine is '06 April. The exterior looks good.

Nice collection of cartridges!

Welcome to the addiction!

Looks good. Sucks about the keyed hood.

Curious what the main problem is. My '01 just turned 202 I think but I just did a complete suspension overhaul and today I think I'm going to tackle the OFHG which you clearly have a younger motor or a well done refurbish if it looks clean.

Thank you. Yeah... my wife really gets into detailing. I know she jumped on it because then I can't just pull the motor. Now I have to fix it all the way. Lol.

I'll have to look at the build date and get back to you.

90 percent sure the egs module took a dump based on my troubleshooting. What caused it.... that I don't know. Not yet anyway. I have found a lot of threads that others had bad egs modules though. No definitive answer why.

The egs can come apart to check for bad traces etc but when mine acted like egs was shot it was just the connector on the back of the transmission. Apparently water funnels down the wiring jacket right into the connector.

I'll check mine. I have the GM 5L40e....which I am not too familiar with. I am better with the ZF models. Those also get connector issues.
