E53 X5 3.0i (First Gen) Condensation/Moisture tips?

For my E53 X5 3.0i, when I drive it, there's been condensation/excessive moisture on the outside of the driver's front window, the outside of the passenger's front window, and on the outside of the upper portion of the windshield of the car.

Besides on really hot days keeping the windows open to the X5 and letting the car dry out and absorb the sun, does anyone have any other tips/insight as to how to get rid of the condensation/excessive moisture that appears on the outside of both the front windows and on the windshield of the car?

Thanks in advance!

Make sure your roof drains aren't kinked/plugged or disconnected and then park it in the sun with some damp rid inside.

If the humidity levels are really low there you can run fans with the windows down overnight till dried out.

E53 X5 3.0i (First Gen) Condensation/Moisture tips?

Outside the window condensation is from the window being colder than the dew point.

Turn the AC temp warmer or slower or set the vents too auto or feet/face to stop blowing cold air on the window.

Start with setting the AC to auto the temp to 74F and the recirculation to auto.

Once the temp starts to auto adjust the fan speed to slow then slowly move the temp one degree at a time to your comfort level. Most often the problem you describe comes from using max Ac which can never be achieved in normal circumstances so you will be blowing 40° air at the window and the car will never get to your set temp.

Just wanted to say that your insight was incredibly helpful. Thank you very much @andrewwynn.

I left the AC on 70F today when I went for a drive, and there was no condensation/moisture on the windows whatsoever.

I really appreciate it!

Great question. I'd say that the ambient temperature at the time was around 70-72 degrees.
