If I'm not mistaking you can just add a 5ohm resistor to the connector like jumper,I had to disable a lot of knee bolster airbags in dodge mini vans when installing hand controls for the disabled. That way the airbag light doesn't come on. Should be the same for any vehicle I assume.

I'll give another scanner a go in order to get a more precise error on this problem. If I understood correctly, then in case the front door airbags deploy, the crash details will be stored into the module, which will need replacing. I've also heard that it might be not possible to deactivate driver's airbag and I'll have to get a replacement airbag anyway..not sure if that's true.
