My C10 went through two lower cost options. Indoor and outdoor use ones. Finally went for a top dollar one. The top line from https://www.carcovers.com/covers/tru...short-bed.html
If its going to be outside, go top dollar.

I have a BMW X5 cover. I bought it off Craigslist. However, I have yet to open it. We drive the X5 everyday. I guess I should open the box and look it over.

I wrestled with the idea of getting a cover a few months ago. I mainly need it to help slow the effects of sitting out in the sun, and pretty much came to the conclusion that either the OEM cover or the nice/expensive covercraft covers (or similar) would make sense as something that would last for several years. Or, the other tactic is to just buy a cheapie knowing you'll end up replacing it every year or two. I bought a Budge branded cover for under $40 IIRC.

I ultimately went with the cheapie for a couple reasons - first, I have a Thule roof rack on my X5 which would not allow a custom-fitted cover to work. Second, the cheap cover is probably easier to take on/off which hopefully means I'll actually put it on more often (as my truck sits in the driveway naked at the moment!)

Edit: Felt shamed.... cover now installed

AM.
Wow, thanks! They have terrible reviews- I just dodged a bullet.

Craigslist can provide good deals sometimes. I found this OEM cover a few months back. While my X5 is out of state for suspension work, the cover is being used. I only need it to last a little while all components are acquired. A few more to go and then work begins. The covers fit nicely.
