Trunk hatch problem

On mine I was pretty sure the water got inside and the seal was holding it in. Never really found the source as I left the rubber button off.

I was referring to the top edge seal on the long plastic handle itself - not the hatch button cover. The factory seal fails and lets water into the entire hatch handle area.

The new design seal fits in addition to the original factory seal and fixes the water ingress issue.

Most likley. I discovered the fix when my license plate lights started filling with water...
